Yep, I admit it, I am useless, but between you and me, here's the plan: this little bit here, Steve Chats, is where I will come (once in a while) and get whatever's on my chest off it. It might be essays about writing, day to day blather about the new book, gossip about sales, signings, or just 'stuff'. Most likely it'll be stuff. I'm a writer, that's what we call our work, 'stuff'. So anyway, this is where you'll find the Word of Steve.

Hallowed Ground has debuted in the US and UK as an ebook on all of your favourite formats, and details have just been posted in Steve Chats for ordering the hardcover edition, with options for personalisation, etc.

You might notice things are a bit different around here. We've made a few changes to the website, notably adding newsletter functionality (just click on the big shiny button... who can resist big shiny buttons?) which over the next few months will become quite an important feature, as I'll be including lots of pre-pub goodies about Gold, and then there's the new improved Steve Chats, a proper, honest to goodness blog. Welcome to 2004, Savile. I've popped in a couple of entries to whet the appetite... including cover concept art for the weird western collaboration with David Niall Wilson, Hallowed Ground, done by Robert Sammelin. Stuff that's *not* news will appear there. Some news might too. There's also a brand spanking new ebook library with fancy widgets 'n stuff. This is a long-winded way of saying I am actually going to start using this website properly instead of leaving it to cyber-rot... I may even open a 'hidden section' via the newsletter where you can read the new novel in progress day by day as Dave Niall Wilson and I did with Hallowed Ground... you'll just have to sign up and see.
